Sarah Moffat is an award-winning strategic innovator and compelling speaker who brings nearly two decades of experience in federal IT. Her journey through the federal landscape encompasses roles in cybersecurity, communication, human resources, and workforce development. Her broad experience spans both public and private sectors, providing her with diverse insights into various federal domains, including aviation, administration, defense, and healthcare.

Known for her leadership and effective communication skills, she champions the power of storytelling as a key business tool. She illustrates how organizations can successfully blend technology with organizational change management for sustained success.

As a Chief Business Operating Officer in federal HR, Sarah oversees daily operations and leads the HR IT, communications, budget and acquisitions, administration, and data governance. Her career includes positions in federal leadership at the National Institutes of Health’s Center for Information Technology, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Sarah’s contributions have been recognized widely, earning her the Health IT Leader of the Year award from AFFIRM in 2022 and the Woman of Influence award in the Public Sector/Academia category by the Executive Women’s Forum for Information Security, Risk Management, & Privacy in the same year.
